Welcome March!

Hello March!  Please do come in.
Such a long year it certainly has been.
Anxiously awaiting my doorbell to ring,
Your arrival means one more step closer to Spring.

If we use our time wisely in the next 30+ days,
There'll be time to soak up a few sunny rays.
Planning events with you is always a breeze,
You blow in then you're gone, quick as you please.

The honk of flying geese remind us not to delay
A plan of our activities should be underway.
Time is of the essence, there's so much to do
Birthdays and holiday tea, just to name a few.

At the top of our list, two birthdays sit perched
My friend Judy--the 6th, on Sunday after church.
Sister -in-law Mary, a milestone event.
She'll be turning 40 on Thursday the 10th.

A cake must be made, for a party is planned
Alea turns four and it's going to be grand.
The 13th will host her Barbie Fashion Fairytale
Parisian delight of sparkles on a par le grand scale.

Aye, St. Patrick's Day Dinner/Tea shall be in store
'Tis held on the 17th day, with Shamrocks galore.
A green and gold tablescape to serve a party of 8,
With full Irish menu, we won't want to be late.

On the 20th day, we'll invite Spring to be here
We'll welcome the Sun in blue sky that is clear.
Alas, lighthearted hopes anew will be a fresh reason
To enjoy one's life in this beautiful season.

And finally, an event that has been long anticipated,
The 4th birthday of Addy will be celebrated.
A Princess Waterpark visit is what she's dreamt of
With the family to join her, surrounded by love.

Well, we've planned for it all, March, with you on the run,
Nothing left out, we've left nothing undone.
Before you know, your visit will have come to an end,
April's arrival will mean all new planning again.

Never too busy to visit with you,
We'll make the time for a kite fly or two
Between drops of rain, a rainbow may appear,
Welcome, once again, March.  I'm so glad you're here!
